Attached  Garage

This type of garage is built onto an existing structure which is basically an extension of your home. Since it is attached directly to your home, you do not have to walk outside braving the hot sun or knee deep snow to get to your vehicle. It requires less space and costs less than a freestanding structure. So, if you have space constraints or if you are on a budget, an attached garage can be a good choice for you.

Detached Garage

This garage is built as a freestanding structure and it looks more aesthetically pleasing than an attached structure. The insurance cost of a detached garage is less than that of an attached one. Since it is a freestanding structure, there is no risk of exposure to harmful fumes and carbon monoxide. It gives you more construction freedom – you can build it as small or as big as you want. You can also add lofts, attic, and living space if these are enhancements that you would like.

One Car

Multiple Cars

This garage is built to house any number of cars. It usually has plenty of additional space to meet all your storage needs. Multi-car garage plans are ideal for large families and avid car collectors.

Drive Through

This type of garage is built with large overhead doors on either side which makes it easy to move large items in and out of the garage. It also makes it easy for you to pull a trailer straight through the garage without reversing.

Lofted Garage

This garage is built with plenty of loft space to meet your storage needs. If you have space constraints that prevent you from building a large garage, you can look for innovative lofted garage plans and build a small yet highly functional garage.

RV Garage
